But pharmaceuticals were only treating his symptoms, and no doctor seemed capable of providing the long-term care and support it would take to turn his life around.
Clocking in at 310 pounds and pumped full of steroids to battle a debilitating autoimmune disorder, Cross realized that he would soon be dead if he didn't make some major lifestyle changes. Overweight Australian filmmaker Joe Cross attempts to wrestle back control of his failing health during a cross-country trek in which he engages everyday Americans in discussions about food and obesity in this lighthearted documentary addressing a deadly seri ous subject.
That said though, there are many very worthwhile pieces of good information and thought provoking suggestions that make watching this film worth the time. The down side is that it is an all juice diet that would not satisfy most of us for the long term. And the lives of a few people he met on his journey. The upside is that he turned his life around. & 2) How few people were willing to even listen to his story. 1) How well Joe did at getting his health back on track. I viewed this film about 5 months ago and was amazed at 2 things. All juice diet would be hard to live with. This video will change many lives for the better! BUY IT!!! Read full review If you only juice once a day and sustitute one meal a day with a juice diet that is perfect once you get to a normal body weight! This video with its message, will make you stronger! I cannot praise it enough or the good it has done for me and my family! Well, I'm off to work in the garden to grow all I can to keep my juicing cost down. Now, I'm completely on track and will never go back to stupid eating choices. I did not need to lose more than 10 pounds, so my body condition was not as grave as most people in Nebraska. This is the most amazing and inspiring video imaginable on the subject! I'm absolu tely high on it! I have done a 10 day juice fast and have completely adjusted my mind to where I will not even want to cheat with that piece of bread or sweet. However, so far these few people say to me they could never go without the garbage they eat daily and are just too weak to attempt a juice fast even for 3-days! I am totally disgusted by the attitude of so many of these sick fat and nearly dead people and have determined they deserve to be where they are!I am a vegan living in Nebraska if you get my point? I now constantly look at people as either Fat Sick and Nearly Dead and think how I wonder if this information could save their life and if they would possibly be willing to make the effort to do something for themselves? I have tried to suggest that this video holds the answer and several people I know have at least watched it. I recommend this video to all those like me who are ready to literally "Do or Die" Read full review I am ready to give up all the things necessary and finally make REAL changes. He meets many on his journey across the US and shows them, with his own life, how they can "Reboot" their own body to desire the kinds of food that will not o nly make them healthier, but in many cases allow them to take less of medications they may be on over time. He is very real in wanting to also share his success on the reboot program and I found that to be very motivating. perhaps that is what is necessary to really get others to take a serious look at what is ahead if they do not change their direction. joe is very motivating if a bit straight forward. the longer I watched it the more convinced I became that this could very well be the way to go. Seeing Joe start this thing quite overweight himself instantly made me curious how he would fare in his quest. I am severely obese and wanted to make one last effort before I gave up and just let myself die.
